Mission
The mission of Pivotal Point Enterprises, Inc. is to assist with promoting individual and community empowerment leading to positive behavior change. The purpose of the organization is to provide educational and motivational materials and activities to children and their parents utilizing the Big-Headed Beaver © and Friends curriculum developed by Pivotal Point Enterprises, Inc. For young children, educational and motivational materials and activities are supplemented by the use of five mascots - The Big-Headed Beaver, Rude Rabbit, Fearless Fox, Talkative Turtle, and Pew-Wee Pig.
History
Pivotal Point Enterprises, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation located in Leon County, Tallahassee, Florida. Articles of Incorporation were filed and accepted by the State of Florida, Division of Corporations on July 2003. From July 1, 2003 – June 30, 2004, goals accomplished included the incorporation of the organization, approval for 501(c)(3) tax exempt status, development of business plan including goals, objectives, need for services, and proposed budget, and the development of educational and motivational materials for distribution to children and their families.
From July 1, 2004 to present, goals accomplished have included successful application and award of grants, providing direct services to targeted populations, evaluation of the services provided, continual development of curriculum as appropriate to effectively reach our target population, expansion of educational services to provide positive out-of-school activities, and relocation to a more spacious, state-of-the-art facility to provide services to more students who are in need.
